First Unitarian Church in New Bedford

Our beautiful Sanctuary, built in the Norman Gothic style in 1838, is available for weddings and other events and can accommodate 350 people.

Our Parish House, built in 1896, is the perfect venue for hosting your special event. Our spacious hall can accommodate up to 125 people and is a beautiful and historic setting for your special occasion.

Our small auditorium (Tryworks), once home to the longest running Coffee House in the country, is available for small theater productions, drama rehearsals, recitals, concerts, and wedding receptions.

We love to work with nonprofits and have worked with organizations such as Walt’s Mobil Closet, the YWCA, SouthCoast LGBTQ+ Network, Gallery X, The New Bedford Historical Society, The Martha Briggs Educational Club, and more.
