Join us for the Opening Reception of Curious Figure 3, a national juried exhibition celebrating contemporary figurative art.

Now in its third year, Curious Figure has grown from a regional exhibition into a national platform, bringing together artists from 38 cities across 21 states. The exhibition highlights the enduring power of the human figure as a subject through a wide range of perspectives, techniques, and narratives.

Hosted at the historic Star Store in downtown New Bedford, the opening reception invites the public to experience the work of this year’s artists while connecting with the region’s vibrant creative community. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet participating artists, explore the exhibition, and enjoy the lively cultural energy that continues to shape New Bedford’s growing reputation as a destination for the arts.

Curious Figure 3 is produced by The Siren Scene in collaboration with Co+Creative Center, with support from Save the Star Store, the Arts & Business Council of Greater Boston, and New Bedford Creative.

The exhibition reflects the strength of both the national figurative art movement and the local creative ecosystem, creating a moment where artists, audiences, and downtown businesses come together in celebration of art and community.
