Join New Bedford Fishing Heritage Center for its upcoming AHA! Night programs on Thursday, March 12, to discover the history of waterfront ceremonies and celebrations past and present! Admission to the Center is free for AHA! Night.

4:00pm – 5:30pm – Family-friendly activity: Decorate your own Scallop Festival Sash
Stop by FHC to meet former New Bedford Scallop Festival Queen Elizabeth Belanger, and decorate your own Scallop Festival sash and tiara!

6:00pm – 7:30pm – Panel discussion: Ceremonies, Celebrations, & Community
Hear tales and personal anecdotes related to the New Bedford Scallop Festival, Blessing of the Fleet, Fishermen’s Memorial Service, and Working Waterfront Festival from the women who participated in the Center’s ongoing Herstory Oral History Project!
