Dock-u-mentary Film Screening: Vintage Gloucester!

Join the Fishing Heritage Center at the NB Whaling National Historical Park’s visitor center theater to learn about the history of Gloucester – Massachusetts’ oldest commercial fishing port – through the decades. We’ll be screening three short films, each highlighting the evolution of the commercial fishing community in Gloucester from the 1930s to the 1960s:

“New England Fishermen” (1938) – 8 min
“Men of Gloucester” (1949) – 21 min
“The New England Fisherman” (1967) – 10 min

About Dock-u-mentaries: Hosted in partnership with New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park, Dock-u-mentaries is a free film series hosted at the National Park auditorium at 33 William Street in downtown New Bedford on every third Friday at 7:00pm from October through April.
