“Kriolas di Muzika” is a musically infused book presentation that details the contributions of Cabo Verdean and Cabo Verdean American women to the musical heritage of the archipelago and its diasporas. Accompanied by frequent musical interludes, as well as by audio/visual aids, this presentation brings Cabo Verdean musical traditions to life for audience members. The concert to follow features the KabuJazz Ensemble, with Candida Rose on lead vocals. It features the various Cabo Verdean women artists highlighted in the presentation, while infusing their works with jazz influence.
