On Wednesday\, August 5\, 2026\, Spinner Publications will host author Ben Shattuck at the Wamsutta Club\, 427 County Street\, New Bedford\, MA\, from 6pm to 8:30pm. Ben will talk about the journey that led him to write his latest book\, The History of Sound: Stories\, and explore its complex themes\, including the deep connections between love\, loss\, and history. This engaging and informative talk will include a Q&A session with the audience.\nEnjoy a relaxed cocktail-party ambiance where\, during a meet-and-greet\, you can savor delicious hors d’oeuvres\, cheese and fruit plates\, fresh vegetable crudités\, and a convenient cash bar.
