The THUMP & SOUL SESSION

The THUMP & SOUL SESSION

The groove is calling the Southcoast.

On Saturday, May 16th at 9pm, The THUMP & SOUL SESSION lands at The Gallery Bar, 20 Kenyon Street, New Bedford, MA, for a night rooted in rhythm, connection, and pure dance floor energy. With the motto “Come where the groove is deep and the vibe is warm!”, this one-night experience invites the entire Southcoast community into a space where music isn’t just heard; it’s felt, shared, and lived.

Curated by WAMPTRONICA, one of New England’s most dynamic underground dance music collectives, the session brings their signature Deep Afro Jazz House Music sound to life; blending ancestral pulse, live improvisation, and forward-thinking electronic soul. On the decks for the night: The ZYG 808, GM Slim-One, and DaPhunkee Professor, guiding the room through a sonic journey designed to move both body and spirit.

WAMPTRONICA’s sound extends far beyond the dance floor, with original releases on Poly-Groove Records and the legendary Eightball Records, and through their weekly radio show FROM the UNDERGROUND; airing Tuesdays at 8pm on WNB One Radio, Sundays at midnight on WOMR FM, and streaming worldwide as a podcast. Their pop-up dance events across the region have become known for transforming everyday spaces into vibrant, communal celebrations of music and movement.

Set inside The Gallery Bar; a venue quickly earning its reputation as one of the Southcoast’s most stylish, welcoming, and culturally alive spaces; this night promises an atmosphere where everyone belongs, and every beat matters.

Presented as a program of Oversoul Theatre Collective, Inc., and supported in part by the New Bedford Cultural Council and the Osborne Trust Fellowship, The THUMP & SOUL SESSION continues its mission of creating spaces where community and culture meet on the dance floor.

May 16th. 9pm. Southcoast energy.

Come where the groove is deep and the vibe is warm.
