Explore New Bedford developed from a deep-rooted desire to create a brand that resonates with everyone who calls New Bedford home, as well as those who come to visit our city. We wanted to choose a name that challenged the phrase, “I didn’t know that was in New Bedford.” So, we chose a name with a call to action for individuals to branch out and truly explore all that New Bedford has to offer. By encouraging people to explore New Bedford, we are committing to our mission of highlighting and promoting the whole city. Our goal is to be inclusive of the diverse stories in every neighborhood reflecting the city’s ability to offer something for everyone.
Explore New Bedford is an invitation, a challenge, and a call to action all rolled into one. It inspires visitors and locals alike to branch out, to wander off the beaten path, and to discover the hidden (and not-so-hidden) treasures that make New Bedford so special.
