Ever wonder what inspired the creativity behind a painting, sculpture or photo? Here’s a chance to find out, at the next Arts Illuminated, a unique live talk show hosted by The New Bedford Light.

Framed by samples of their work, several selected area artists will take the stage at the Steeple Playhouse on Wednesday, Aug. 26, at 6 p.m. for short interviews by local art entrepreneur Devin “Nived” McLaughlin.

The free show welcomes fellow artists, art lovers, family and friends for a stimulating evening exploring the creative process. You’ll learn about the artists’ backgrounds, methods and inspirations.

The interviews are followed by the Afterglow reception, where you can mingle with the artists, browse works up close, buy directly, and enjoy refreshments.
