Cinema 169: Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind
Join Gallery X on Friday, November 7 for Cinema 169 as we host a free screening of NAUSICAÄ OF THE VALLEY OF THE WIND, the 1984 animated fantasy film by Hayao Miyazaki.
Cinema 169 is a film series that pairs the visual art exhibitions on view at Gallery X with a film.
This screening is free and open to the public, refreshments will be available to purchase inside Gallery X.
Reservations recommended, but not required.
Doors at 6:30, the screening will begin at 7:00.
Film Synopsis:
A thousand years after the Seven Days of Fire destroyed civilization, warring human factions survive in a world devastated by atmospheric poisons and swarming with gigantic insects. The peaceful Valley of the Wind is nestled on the edge of the Toxic Forest and led by the courageous Princess Nausicaä, whose love of all living things leads her into terrible danger, as she fights to restore balance between humans and nature. Based on the Japanese manga series by Hayao Miyazaki.
