Based on traditional Japanese woodblock printing, the white-line technique is a form of relief printmaking developed on Cape Cod at the beginning of the 20th century. The collection contains examples of some of the earliest examples of the genre by Blanche Lazzell, one of the founding members of the Provincetown Printers, and spans to present-day practitioners including local artist, Peter Michael Martin.
